How to pick the right cleanser for your skin.

Not only does cleansing our skin allow the removal of impurities from the skin but cleansing encourages you to massage which stimulates blood flow resulting in a brighter, tighter and a healthier complexion.
A good cleanser will remove dirt and makeup effectively without blocking pores, stripping the skin of it’s natural oils and it will not compromise your skin’s health. While incorrect cleansers will make your skin dry and dehydrated, however, over time you will find your skin may become oiler due to the skin being stripped of its natural oils. Pores become blocked and enlarged, the skin will appear dull and the texture will be rough.
Ensure when choosing a cleanser that you check the ingredients for alcohol and some essential oils as they can compromise your skin.
Types of Cleanser
Cream/Milk
If you prefer a more soothing cleanser then choose a cream/milk. These cleansers gently buff the skins surface to support the removal of dead skin cells for a brighter complexion.
Recommended for all skin types, especially anti-ageing, dry and sensitive skins. Ideal for a cleansing massage as they provide more slip and glide.
Avoid over fragranced cleansers and ones that are too rich as they could trigger oiliness and breakouts.
Oil
Oil is perfect for removing all makeup and grime prior to using your chosen cleanser. Oil degreases and dissolves sebum, leaving your skin decongested and ready for your normal cleansing routine.
Oil is a vital step in ensuring skin is thoroughly and properly cleansed.
Wash/Gel
Gel cleansers are excellent for removing dirt and makeup without blocking your pores. Gel cleansers which contain salicylic acid help to unclog pores as well as control breakouts. Ideal as a pre-menstrual solution.
Suitable for oily and acne prone skin.
